Scott Arnold

Scott Arnold is the senior vice president and chief information officer at Tampa General Hospital, a nationally renowned nonprofit academic medical center.

Arnold leads the implementation of all technology systems across the organization to ensure the collection, maintenance, safety and privacy of patient records. He joined Tampa General Hospital in 2010 to manage the conversion of its electronic medical record system – the largest technology implementation in the hospital’s history.

Prior to joining Tampa General, Scott served as a vice president for Mercy Health in Saint Louis, Missouri and held leadership positions with Daleen Technologies, Boeing and McDonnell Douglas Aerospace. Scott serves on the board of directors for the Tampa Bay Health Information Exchange and is a member of the Epic Connect Governing Council and the O’Neil Center’s Health Informatics Advisory Council.

Scott earned a master’s degree from Washington University’s School of Engineering, master’s degree from Webster University’s School of Business and Technology, bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University’s College of Applied Science and accredited by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) as a Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO).
