Rebecca Winokur, MD
As a Cerner Physician Executive, Dr. Rebecca Winokur partners with clients to get the most value out of their health information system. She is a Cerner thought leader on health equity and acts as the Service Line Leader for Health Equity and Social Determinants of Health. In addition, Dr. Winokur is a subject matter expert on clinical documentation and condition management and works with Cerner’s Patient Safety and High Reliability Council through the medication process and ethics in AI committees.
Dr. Winokur joined Cerner in 2018, bringing 15 years of practicing medicine with first-hand knowledge as an end-user, and industry leadership expertise. She has been recognized for exceptional client focus and outstanding teaching both in her leadership roles on the vendor side, and as an Assistant Professor. Her clinical practice has been in Sports Medicine and Urgent Care.
Rebecca is a graduate of Colby College in Waterville, Maine and received her Medical Degree from the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine in Burlington, Vermont, where she also completed her residency in Family Medicine. She completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. Most recently, Rebecca earned a Master of Public Health, from the George Washington University, Milken Institute School of Public Health in Washington, D.C. She completed a post graduate fellowship at the United Nations Foundation Digital Impact Alliance.
She travels to Ethiopia to participate in medical missions and has been active in her local community in diversity, equity, and inclusion work for over a decade.
