Praveen Chopra serves patients, staff, and business and community partners as Chief Digital and Information Officer for Emplify Health. Praveen joined what was then Gundersen Health System in 2021 to focus intensely on the system’s digital transformation efforts for enhanced patient and staff experience.

Praveen is a seasoned executive with a proven track record in healthcare, retail and consulting industries. His expertise lies in leveraging cutting-edge technologies and data-driven insights to foster consumer-centric innovation. Praveen’s skill set encompasses Agile transformation, improved governance, cross-departmental synergy, digital engagement strategies, operational optimization, and the integration of virtual care solutions with care management. He excels in enterprise information risk management and strategic growth planning. Praveen’s approach combines technological acumen with strategic foresight, enabling organizations to adapt, innovate and thrive in rapidly changing business landscapes.

Praveen previously served as CIO for George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, one of the largest academic medical centers in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Prior to that, Praveen was CIO and Transformative Innovative Environment Officer at Thomas Jefferson University – Jefferson Health System. He has also served as CIO and Chief Supply Chain Officer at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Before a transition to healthcare, Praveen held leadership roles at the Home Depot headquarters and at Accenture.
