As a Senior Healthcare Executive on the Health System Operations Advisory team at Cerner, Kara Hess strategizes with clients to achieve organizational improvements that create efficiencies by combining people, processes, and technology.  She has over 20 years of nursing experience, serving both patients and caregivers in a variety of educational and leadership roles.  She spent the large majority of her career as a float pool RN, providing care for patients in the acute and critical care setting.  She transitioned into leadership with a focus on operational management and was a key driver of the development of a centralized clinical command center. As a leader, Kara recognizes the importance of collaboration and innovation to meet organizational goals.  She recently completed her MBA to expand her operational and business skillset, in addition to obtaining her Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
