Anthony A. Hilliard MD, FACC

Anthony Hilliard was born and raised in Southern California.  He graduated with honors from La Sierra University in 1998 with a B.A. degree in Religious Studies. He graduated from Loma Linda University Medical School in 2002, AOA. He attended Mayo Clinic from 2002-2009 for internal medicine, general cardiology and interventional cardiology training.  There he received the Mayo Clinic Internal Medicine Outstanding Achievement Award, the Mayo Brothers Distinguished Fellowship Award and upon completion of his training he was awarded Fellow of the Year.

Dr. Hilliard returned to his alma mater, Loma Linda University, in July of 2009 and became the Vice Chief of the Division of Cardiology in 2018, then Chief in 2019. He was recently named Chief Operating Office for the Faculty Medical Group of Loma Linda University Health. He serves on several leadership committees within the organization including Senior Vice President of the Medical Staff and chairs the Health and Prosperity Task Force for the faculty practice.

He sits on several steering committees for the American College of Cardiology and is the current Treasurer and the incoming Governor for the California Chapter of the American College of Cardiology.  He is also a past President of the Board for the AHA Inland Empire Division and former Co-Chair of the Go Red for Women Campaign and Luncheon.

In his spare time Dr. Hilliard enjoys playing and coaching nearly every sport imaginable, tending to his garden and fruit trees, developing a sustainable home habitat and spending time with his three favorite people—his wife Tammy, daughter Sophia, age 15 and son Max, age 13.
