SI’s IT Benchmarking Program is healthcare-specific, anonymous and free. It provides five-year trending, what-if analyses and 1:1 support. Currently, there are more than 75 participating organizations, with 611 hospitals and 10,890 ambulatory facilities involved. Goals include growing the program, employing greater automation and streamlining surveys.
SI has worked with Epic to map the data they collect, mirroring it so that participating SI organizations can submit the same information. They also hope to work with Cerner to offer the same convenience. Additionally, the Benchmarking team will add a staffing tab soon to allow organizations to “play” with certain functions and gauge where they’re at in comparison to other organizations. John Hendricks emphasized the importance of value creation, stating that the purpose of the program is to bridge the gap between IT and the rest of the enterprise, to show IT as a strategic thought-partner versus a reactionary organization. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to join SI’s IT Benchmarking Program and start showing the true value of your IT service!Login to read this report if you are part of an Affinity Group
