After developing a strong relationship with federal law enforcement to encourage support around tech security, Corewell Health’s Information Security & CISO Scott Dresen attended the FBI CISO Academy over a year ago. The program, offered free biannually, helps like-positioned attendees who are nominated by the FBI to develop partnership and support. According to FBI Special Agent Mike Glennon, FBI Detroit, after 9/11 there were major efforts to work more collaboratively and share intel with the private sector for the betterment of the US overall. “The same shift happened around 10 years ago in cyber: We all know we cannot combat all of the current threats alone, so we really needed to partner toward some sort of solution.”
