With a focus on training individuals for specific roles, the Apprenticeships Program has become a key pipeline strategy. Led by Joel McFadden, Steve Morley, and Mandy Glettler, the program offers on-the-job training and an ‘earn & learn’ model, imparting valuable skills to a diverse talent pool.
Through partnerships with academic groups, local colleges, and organizations, Intermountain Health identifies individuals who can benefit from the program. So far, they have had 115 apprentices, saving over $1M in apprentice projects. These US Department of Labor-certified apprenticeship programs provide opportunities for upskilling, source diverse talent, and offer education benefits.
Active apprenticeships cover a range of areas, including data analytics, software engineering, HR, and cyber security. Success stories like Sara M., Jay R., and Sharday D. highlight the program’s impact, resulting in savings, improved processes, and fulfilling career paths.
