SUMMARY:WEBINAR | Collaboration is a Superpower
DESCRIPTION:Michael Solomons\, Senior Client Partner\, Korn Ferry. The rise of globalization has made teams more diverse than ever. With flexible work arrangements\, we can no longer rely solely on the power of in-person connections. As AI takes over routine tasks\, every team must now be a problem-solving team. Leaders have long bemoaned the challenges of cross-functional collaboration\, and now there is no avoiding it. The challenge of collaborating across differences has never been tougher to solve or more important to get right. \nKorn Ferry is partnering with organizations worldwide to help leaders create environments where collaboration is a superpower. By recognizing the barriers to collaboration\, empowering\, and equipping employees\, and shifting systems and structures to incentivize collective problem-solving and innovation\, we are making significant strides. In this webinar\, Michael showcases how combining art and science\, going beyond standard design thinking and process-driven solutions\, and helping employees value differences and gain the confidence to explore and experiment has led to breakthrough business outcomes. \nAdditionally\, find out about a leading health system that co-created between HR\, Nurses\, Doctors\, and other administration to solve talent related challenges; a med-tech firm navigating the transformation to robotics by collaborating with medical professionals whose voices are often shut out; a fin-tech organization enabling its employees to design and implement their future of work; a consumer organization transforming their DE&I initiative into a driver of innovation and growth; and a bank developing its next generation of leadership by making collaboration the most important capability.

SUMMARY:WEBINAR | The Transformative Power of Systems-Thinking in Population Health Management
DESCRIPTION:Holly Urban\, MD\, MBA\, Vice President\, Business Development-Strategy\, Clinical Effectiveness\, Wolters Kluwer Health. The traditional primary care model often lacks a proactive focus\, especially in adult care\, which tends to be reactive rather than preventative. This approach results in fragmented care\, higher rates of chronic conditions\, undetected diseases\, and increased reliance on emergency services\, ultimately placing a financial strain on the healthcare system. Pediatric care\, conversely\, is inherently proactive\, focusing on growth\, immunizations\, and preventive measures.  \n  \nThere is a transformative potential for applying a systems-thinking approach to population health management and primary care. This webinar highlights how adopting this model can lead to improved health outcomes\, drive reduced healthcare costs\, and address health disparities.  \nAfter practicing as a primary care pediatrician\, Dr. Urban worked for several EHR technology and evidence-based content companies\, and has served in healthcare IT leadership roles for over fifteen years. With this experience\, she brings unique insight into how evidence and workflow can optimally merge to benefit clinical users and healthcare teams. Her experience with both provider and payer customers allows her to holistically understand the healthcare ecosystem with all the complicated drivers that influence how care is provided.

SUMMARY:WEBINAR | Ensuring Business Resiliency: Recovering from Inevitable Cyber Breaches
DESCRIPTION:Marc Johnson\, Director; and James Rountree\, Director\, Impact Advisors.  It has taken affected organizations a significant amount of time to recover from recent and high-profile ransomware incidents. SUMMARY:WEBINAR | Introducing Meaningful\, Patient-First Medication Guidance While Tackling Alert Overload
DESCRIPTION:David R. Linz\, MD\, FACP\, Internal Medicine\, Moorings Park. During its EHR system transition\, NCH collaborated with FDB to tailor medication alerts specifically to patient contexts. This focus on “patient-first” medication decision support resulted in a marked reduction in frequently dismissed alerts for conditions such as hyperkalemia\, QT prolongation\, opioid use in outpatient settings\, and nephrotoxicity\, thereby ensuring a higher level of clinical relevance and patient safety. The outcomes? Drug-drug interaction (DDI) alerts dropped by up to 37.5% and targeted DDI alerts for high-volume medications shrinking by up to 94%. Furthermore\, the initiative boasted a 25% reduction in overall CDS alerts per order in its first phase and has also contributed to NCH’s improvement in its Leapfrog CPOE test results. \nSponsored by Hearst | First Databank

SUMMARY:WEBINAR | AI and Patient Safety: Opportunities and Challenges
DESCRIPTION:Subashnie Devkaran\, PhD\, FACHE\, Chair of Quality & Value\, Mayo Clinic; and Tejal Gandhi\, MD\, MPH\, CPPS\, Chief Safety & Transformation Officer\, Press Ganey\, assess the patient-safety movement after 25 years of dedicated effort and summarize progress made and gaps yet to be filled. Why\, for example\, does one in every four patients admitted to the hospital still suffer an adverse event? Why is ambulatory care even more fraught with errors? Can AI fill those gaps? This discussion helps us understand the potential benefits of AI application to patient safety\, the potential unintended consequences of using AI for patient safety and describe practical examples of how a large medical center is implementing AI to improve patient safety. \nSponsored by Press Ganey

SUMMARY:FIRESIDE CHAT / WEBINAR | Leadership Teams of the Future: Critical Convergence of Technology and Operations - Lessons Learned from Corewell Health
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Fireside Chat with Tina Freese Decker\, MHA\, MSIE\, FACHE\, President & CEO\, Corewell Health & Jason Joseph\, MBA\, Chief Digital & Information Officer; and Moderator Christy Harris Lemak\, PhD\, FACHE\, Executive in Residence at Scottsdale Institute. Many healthcare organizations are striving to become more customer-centric and digitally enabled\, but new pressures are creating an urgency to accelerate transformation. Consumers and providers successfully adopted telemedicine and other technologies during the pandemic; however\, the opportunities ahead go beyond these\, suggesting an enterprise-wide convergence of technology with all health system functions. The Scottsdale Institute (SI) recently sponsored a study to understand the leadership required for this transformation. This session will describe findings from the study; provide an in-depth\, case study of one system’s journey (Corewell Health); and offer tangible techniques for participants to accelerate transformation in their organizations. The study found\, and Corewell Health is demonstrating\, the importance of leaders (1) recognizing the convergence of technology and operations; (2) putting digital at the center of every part of their health system; (3) focusing on disciplined\, data-driven executive teaming; and (4) building a culture that emphasizes learning.
