SUMMARY:WEBINAR | Bringing the Joy Back to Medicine Through AI And Automation
DESCRIPTION:Doug King\, SVP\, CIO\, Northwestern Medicine; and Stephanie Lahr\, MD\, CHCIO\, President of Artisight\, Former CIO and CMIO\, Monument Health. The healthcare industry is facing a combination of workforce challenges. The current rising rates of clinician burnout\, coupled with staffing shortages\, the increasing complexity of medical care\, and rising number of people that will need care necessitates a new approach. Northwestern Medicine is partnering with Artisight to leverage Automation and Artificial Intelligence to transform care delivery. Documentation and other administrative tasks can be reduced allowing clinicians to spend more time and focus on patient care\, workflows can be optimized by automating communication and information sharing\, and processes can be improved by collecting large volumes of high-fidelity data through use of sensor technologies as opposed to manual entry and observation. Doug and Dr. Lahr discuss the partnership\, strategy and technology making this transformation to reality.
