Corewell Health’s (CH’s) Enterprise Disease Burden Program (EDBP) focuses on improving population wellness by documenting patient conditions accurately and completely and improving quality of care.  EDBP’s high-level initiatives include analytics and technology, operations, and physician best practice, with benefits including better information for physicians, optimal recapture, and increased opportunities for disease burden identification. By ensuring consistent definitions and promoting a collaborative approach, CH is working to align analytics and reporting between its groups to create a consistent, trusted single-source-of-truth for its data. “From a physician lens, better information equals better care,” said Dr. Bob Jarve, CMIO, Population Health, Corewell Health.
