
David Mahon
Dave Mahon is a C-level Executive, strategist, and cybersecurity thought leader recognized for approaching global risk with a cyber lens. Most recently, as the Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited, Dave designed and implemented the global vision, strategy, and programs to secure information assets, technologies, and data across Deloitte’s global network.
Previously, he was the Global Chief Security Officer for CenturyLink, Inc., now Lumen Technologies, Inc., and led an enterprise-wide organization responsible for: security strategy; policies and programs for cybersecurity; critical infrastructure protection; physical security; classified industrial and national security programs; network fraud and abuse; and threat intelligence.
During his tenure, Dave contributed to national security and emergency preparedness solutions through testimony before Congressional Committees and participation in the President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee. He served as a resource to the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and the Federal Communication Commission as well as domestic and international law enforcement, intelligence, and homeland security agencies. During his Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) career, he led domestic and international investigations in which the Internet, computer systems and networks were exploited as targets of foreign government sponsored intelligence operations, terrorist organizations or criminal activities.
Dave earned a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the University of Scranton and completed the Kellogg School of Management’s Executive Leadership Program. He is fluent in Spanish and is FBI and government certified in a range of disciplines including the U.S. Department of Defense and FBIs’ Cyber Programs. Dave and his wife live in Denver, Colorado.
