Jamin Engel, PharmD, MBA, BCSCP, is the Regional Director of Pharmacy for the Western Region of Sentara Healthcare, a 12-hospital non-for-profit system within Virginia and North Carolina. His responsibilities include providing leadership and oversight of pharmacy operations and strategic planning at RMH Medical Center (SRMH), Northern Virginia Medical Center (SNVMC), and Martha Jefferson Hospital (SMJH). He graduated from VCU School of Pharmacy in 2008 with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, and obtained a Masters of Business Administration degree from James Madison University in 2013. In additional to his role as pharmacy director, Jamin serves as an expert for sterile compounding, authoring several publications, teaching certification programs, serving on regulatory committees, and performing independent consulting. He is a clinical professor for Virginia Commonwealth University and a preceptor for Shenandoah University College of Pharmacy.
