Hans Keil, MBA

Hans Keil is senior vice president and chief information officer for Beaumont Health, Michigan’s largest health care system, based on inpatient admissions and net patient revenue.

Keil joined Beaumont in 2020 from PerkinElmer, a multinational corporation focused on products and services for diagnostics, life science research and food, environmental and industrial testing. Over his 18 years at PerkinElmer, he served in a variety of roles covering e-commerce, digital marketing, call center operations and software product management before becoming CIO in 2014. As CIO, he led efforts to modernize IT capabilities, enhance fiscal discipline, bolster cybersecurity and commercialize a cybersecurity service and software offering for pharmaceutical laboratories. Prior to PerkinElmer, Keil was a program manager in the U.S. Department of Commerce, supporting the development of various federal websites for the Department of Defense, IRS and Customs Service.

Currently, Keil serves as an advisory board member to CyberStarts, an Israeli early stage venture capital firm focused on cybersecurity startups. He also served 15 years in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve as a marine science technician.

Keil earned his bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Western Ontario, a master’s in International Affairs from American University and his Master of Business Administration degree from Babson College.

Beaumont Health is a not-for-profit organization formed in 2014 to provide patients with greater access to compassionate, extraordinary care, no matter where they live in Southeast Michigan.
