Tamera J. Larsen-Engelkes, MSN, RN, NE-BC, Avera Health IT Clinical Information Officer and Regional Information Officer, provides executive leadership in the design, development, integration, innovation and optimization of health information systems to support clinicians and patient service throughout the health system. In addition, she draws upon her extensive clinical background and advanced healthcare education to collaborate and lead the health system CNOs on clinical initiatives with a sharp focus on quality of care, compliance, data integrity, health care policy and information security.

Tamera’s leadership and nursing experience include: intensive care, burn unit, labor and delivery, high risk antepartum, maternal flights, newborn nursery, orthopedics, neuro brain and spine, neuro critical care, inpatient rehabilitation and therapy, medical aquatic therapy, observation/short stay, critical access, and now information technology.

Tamera holds a Masters Degree in Nursing Administration from the University of Mary and is a Board Certified Nurse Executive from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
